The World Glass Complex
Saint-Gobain Glass India is headquartered at the World Glass Complex, at Sriperumbudur near Chennai. The World Glass Complex houses

  • Two float glass plants with a cumulative capacity to manufacture 1500 tons of International Quality Float glass daily.

  • Solar Control Reflective Glass manufacturing facility.

  • A state-of-the-art Mirror Processing Line for eco-friendly mirrors

  • A state-of-the-art Magnetron Coater facility to manufacture High Performance Energy Efficient Glass

  • Several innovations which showcase Sustainable Environmental practices like Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation eg. roof water harvesting reservoir with a capacity of 58 million litres.
Saint-Gobain Glass India: Planning for the future
As a response to the opportunities in the Indian Market in Automotive, Architectural and Advanced Glass Processing segments, Saint-Gobain is investing in a new World Glass Complex in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, about 65 km from Delhi. The first phase of this new World Glass Complex will involve an investment of Rs 1000 crores in a float line that will manufacture over 300,000 tons of glass per annum. It would be one of the largest float glass plants in the world, and is planned to be operational by the first half of 2010.
