POSITION: Manager – EHS

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for implementing the Safety, Health and Environment Management programs in the plant.

2. Carrying out EHS Risk assessment and initiating corrective & preventive measures

3. Should have a thorough knowledge of & hands on exposure to ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ILO standards for sustaining and improving the EHS management system in place.

4. Hands on exposure to Accident and incident investigation and analysis - recording, reporting. investigation, corrective measures and analysis of trends

5. Spearheading the EHS improvements within the company / plants, Identifying, conceptualizing, and implementing improvement projects related to EHS

6. Hands on experience of Monitoring & measurement of EHS performance

7. Developing training modules. E-learning tools and Training of personnel in EHS topics

8. Hands on experience of Risk assessment and minimization measures is essential

9. Knowledge of statutory and legal requirements related to EHS is essential

10. Hands on experience on Permit to work, Handling of contractors, Construction site safety are desirable

11. Hands on experience of handling Pollution control systems is desirable

12. Should have carried out EHS audits, Internal audits and fluent in communication with the workers, contractors on matters related to EHS

13. Knowledge of operation of Effluent Treatment, Sewage treatment and Water treatment systems essential

14. Should have working knowledge of Alternate energy resources, resource conservation measures – Waste, Water and Energy

15. Hands on experience of Industrial Hygiene monitoring for exposures is essential

16. Should be conversant with data compilation, interpretation, analysis, presentation and management reporting

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Working experience in ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 & ILO Standards.

• Should have exposure to industrial hygiene & EHS Audits

• Should have expertise in training personnel and driving Environment Health and Safety initiatives

• Should have knowledge of statutory requirements related to EHS

Minimum years of experience: 5 - 7 Years
